It's Snowing!!

It's been snowing for about 4 hours and we already have quite the pile up.  There is about 5 inches out there and they are saying 2 more on the way.
The boys had a blast shoveling the sidewalks together.

Check out the awesome driveway cleanout!!  My first time plowing on the four-wheeler.

Quinn got a hair cut!!

Friday was the boy's picture day at school so Thursday night I gave them both a haircut.  And did they look handsome when they left for school on Friday.  After they got home from school and Rhett's football practice, Quinn disappeared for a few minutes.  It was late enough that I didn't really notice anything until we sat down to watch a movie.  I started to rub his head and it felt kinda funny.

Looks okay, right??

Ummm, not so much!!

Another snip here and here...

And a few more here, and viola!!  A masterpiece!!
Rhett had a game that he had to be to in Plain City at 8:30 yesterday so he had to go all day with his special haircut.  He said quite a few people looked at him funny.  He kept asking himself why did he do that.  Hopefully this is the last time this ever happens.

Bloomington Lake

Today we took the boys and their Grandpa Scott on the 4-wheelers and went to Bloomington Lake.  It was way super dusty, but it was totally worth it.  The views were amazing!!  Here are some pictures I took...

Sunset

We had a beautiful sunset yesterday.  Here are a few pictures...

July 24th Weekend

For the weekend of the 24th, we took the boys on a couple 4-wheeler rides.  We had a ton of fun exploring the outdoors.  On Friday we went up to Willow Flats to unload the wheelers and from there drove up to the Pat Hollow plane crash site.  Scott and Lorri also came with us on this trip.

Can you believe how much snow was still up there?!?!

You should have seen the size of some of the salimanders living in that pond.  You wouldn't believe the mosquitoes either.  They were HORRIBLE!!

On Sunday we went up to Logan Canyon and unloaded by Camp Lomia.  We then rode up to Logan Peak.  The views were spectacular!!

Next week we are planning to go to Bloomington Lake.  I can't wait!!

Rhett went to Hogle Zoo

Rhett was able to go to Hogle Zoo a couple weeks ago with the Summer Camp.  He had a blast and took tons of pictures.  Here are a few from his trip...

Aren't these boys the cutest??

Last weekend, we all went 4-wheeling.  We headed up Willow Flats, then onto Franklin Basin and tried to go to Gibson Lake but we couldn't make it because of the snow.

On our way, there was quite a big snowdrift in the middle of the road.  Kevin ended up winching his wheeler to the other side and then pulling mine over.  While we were waiting for him to get across, Rhett spotted a bull moose!
It was crazy close, but very curious.  It just stayed there watching us and then decided to walk away along side of us.

Thursday, Kevin and his dad took the boys up to the same area again and were able to get to the lake that we couldn't.  It looked like they had alot of fun.  It is crazy how much snow there is still in the mountains even on July 14th.

Rhett turned 9!!

I cannot believe it but Rhett turned 9 on Sunday.  It is crazy to believe he is that old!  Kevin was able to come home for the weekend and spend some time with us, so that was one of the best birthday presents Rhett got.  (And a very good mother's day present for me :) )
Rhett picked out his cake and went shopping for his presents... Boy that was fun...

We had a little BBQ at my in-law's house and had Grandma Ludeen, Grandpa and Grandma Christensen, Grandpa and Grandma James, Terri, Nicole and Ryan up.  He got totally spoiled by everyone!  He got lots of clothes (which he needed!), Lego Harry Potter Train and a Nerf Gun.
Happy Birthday Rhett!!

Quinn got his cast off!

After 4 weeks in the dreaded cast, Quinn finally got it off!  The whole time the doctor was sawing it off he was giggling.  I thought he was going to pee his pants he was laughing so hard.  I guess it tickles, according to him.

He thought it was the coolest thing that he could stick something down his cast and have it come out the other end.  After he got it off we cleaned it up a little bit, but after washing it with soap it still reeked!!  Then we had to get more xrays to make sure everything looked okay.

I was surprised to see that his hand was still pretty bruised.

Has he got big or what!?!?!

After he got the xrays, we talked to the doctor and he felt like he still needed to have the cast on when he played or when he could possibly get injured so they added velcro to his sawed off cast...

He will have to wear this for another two weeks.  The doctor said that the best therapy for him was to do the dishes!!  SWEET!!  I now have a dishwasher!
